Beautiful book! It's the kind of book that you can get lost in, dreaming of improving your own garden to match the ones here。 It's worth the price just for the photographs。 The text is good too。 I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book。 Beautiful book! It was a riveting and interesting read as it talks about something very far from my idea of garden and the plant I know。I loved the gorgeous pictures and the great ideas。 It was an informative read that made me see something new。Loved it。Highly recommended。Many thanks to the publisher for this ARC, all opinions are mine

I was looking forward to this book after seeing Benjamin Vogt promote that he and his garden were showcased within the book。 American Roots held a lot of promise based on that! And while it was a gorgeous book, it fell flat in a few areas, though this isn't specifically the book's problem, it's a horticultural world problem。 The best gardens showcased in this book were the ones where it was clear the homeowners did the bulk of the gardening, design, and maintenance。 I have no doubt all of them d I was looking forward to this book after seeing Benjamin Vogt promote that he and his garden were showcased within the book。 American Roots held a lot of promise based on that! That said, there is something to take home for everyone here and a lot of new folks to find and follow their gardens。 。。。more

This is a gorgeous book! I loved all the photos for garden inspiration, the stories of the gardeners, and the little extras like names and pictures of plants each gardener recommends and tips they have related to their gardens。 The gardeners are divided up by American region, making it easy to see gardens that grow in conditions similar to yours。 It's nice seeing gardens like an urban wildflower garden from Lincoln, Nebraska, instead of just manicured gardens from more famous garden regions。 The This is a gorgeous book!
